The Standing Committee on Regulations and Private Bills will meet to consider Bill 16 today, April 25, 2012. The hearing starts at 8:00 a.m. in Committee Room 1. Bill 16 is an act to amend the Animals for Research Act and the Dog Owners’ Liability Act with respect to pit bulls, and would repeal the Ontario pit bull ban.

I’m hearing very positive reports from those who attended and spoke, but I don’t believe any action was taken today – I think it was primarily a day for the public to present their positions.
