Good news out of Hagerstown, MD. I spoke with the city clerk this afternoon. The Mayor and Council discussed the proposed breed specific ordinance at their workshop yesterday, and they have decided to look at a city-wide leash law rather than the ordinance (at this time).
There WILL NOT be a public hearing on June 19, but because the ordinance has not been tabled, the clerk did encourage citizen input and suggestions in developing any ordinance the council may consider.
Great job by all the advocates who attended the workshop and took a stand against breed specific legislation!!
