We learned last week that a resident of Ramona, Kansas planned to ask city officials to ban pit bulls within the city limits at last night’s council meeting.

The resident did make this request to the council yesterday, and according to the city clerk, the city council decided that the current ordinance, which addresses “vicious dogs” based on behavior and not breed, sufficiently served the city. They voted to leave the dog ordinance as it is. NO CHANGES will be made to the current ordinance.
