Starting March off on a positive note!

Talk about a great way to kick off the month of March…two cities considering breed specific legislation have opted to adopt generic dangerous dog laws that put the onus on the owner…quite the novel concept!

We first learned that Aberdeen, SD was considering a pit bull ban back in January. The city decided against that proposal at Monday night’s council meeting. Read more here: http://www.aberdeennews.com/news/aan-aberdeen-officials-tweak-dog-plans-20110228,0,4386306.story

An alert was issued for Mexico, Missouri all the way back in July 2010. After several months of thorough review, the Animal Code Review Committee presented a breed-neutral ordinance to the council. Let’s not forget that there are lots of people in Winnipeg, Canada working hard on getting a TWENTY year old breed ban repealed. Show them you support their cause!
