Second reading on pit bull ordinance TONIGHT! (Beatrice, Nebraska)

The city of Beatrice, Nebraska is considering an ordinance that would regulate the ownership of “pit bulls.” The second reading of this ordinance is TONIGHT (Monday, April 4, 2011) It was suggested, and some council members seemed receptive, that the breed specific language in the ordinance be removed. Please continue to send your POLITE, RESPECTFUL and INFORMATIVE letters to the Beatrice officials encouraging them to remove any reference to breed in the proposed ordinance, and to move forward with a breed-neutral ordinance.

If you are in the Beatrice area, please make every effort to attend tonight’s meeting. Council meetings start at 7:00 p.m., and are held at the Beatrice Administration Building, 320 N. 5th Street, Beatrice, Nebraska.
