A recent attack has raised the potential for BSL in Madison, South Dakota. It should be noted that nothing has been proposed at this time, but residents need to be on alert. The Madison police chief said it’s too soon to tell whether the city will consider a breed ban, and the Mayor declined to comment on the issue.
Those in the Madison area are encouraged to attend the next several city council meetings in the event the issue does come up to offer intelligent, fact-based arguments against breed specific legislation. The Madison city council meets every Monday afternoon at 5:30 p.m. in the Commission Room located at 116 W Center Street.
