Lake City, Arkansas has expanded their breed specific ordinance to include Staffordshire bull terriers, American Staffordshire terriers, American bulldogs and mixes thereof to their list of banned breeds.
No explanation is given in the article in the Daily Journal as to why the city made this move, however, it does include a link to an article in another local paper that is only available online to subscribers. If anyone receives this paper, I would be very interested in reading the article.

LAKE CITY, Ark. — Lake City has expanded its ban on pit bulls to include other similar breeds.
The city council on Monday added Staffordshire bull terriers, American Staffordshire terriers and American bulldogs to the list of banned breeds.
The ban also extends to mixed breeds that are offspring of banned dogs.
Lake City Mayor Jon Milligan says residents approached city leaders about adding the other types of dogs to the ban. The mayor told The Jonesboro Sun (http://bit.ly/nlXnp7 ) that no one spoke against the ordinance.
Milligan says residents who already owned dogs that were added to the ban can keep them if they buy a $100,000 public liability insurance policy.
The Lake City ordinance is similar to bans approved in Maumelle and Trumann.
