Thanks to Andrea Morris for today’s nominee, Lisa Tipton of Angel Dog Foundation:
My nominee is Lisa Tipton. Lisa runs Angel Dog network, and provides spay/neuter in communities that need it the most. She has taken on the High Desert areas of Lancaster, Palmdale, Littlerock, Ridgecrest, and others. This includes the much in need Lancaster Shelter which is always full of unwanted pit bulls. Lisa has used her talents in business to network with local companies and to pull together a community and shelter that hasn’t always worked so well with rescues, or good causes. Lisa and her vets work extremely long hours and dedicate so much time to this cause and it’s starting to make a difference in the community. She has also decided to move to the High Desert, giving up the community and house she loves to be closer to where the clinic operates and be able to make even more of an impact. Not only has Lisa given up her home and her 9-5 successful career for spay/ neuter but she also has a deaf dog rescue of which the majority of her rescues turn out to be not only pit bulls, but deaf pit bulls. Lisa is dedicated to the cause and to the breed.
I respect and admire what Lisa does for the animals. Without her hard work and dedication the Antelope Valley and many, many families and dogs would certainly be worse off. Lisa is certainly a hero for many people and dogs!
On behalf of Bless the Bullys and the National Pit Bull Awareness Campaign, thank you, Lisa, for your hard work and dedication!
