After receiving an update from someone who has been attending the meetings in Wentzville, Missouri, I spoke with the Wentzville city clerk yesterday. Both confirmed that the facts contained in the news article published earlier this week were not accurate. The entire Board of Alderman is in support of changing the breed specific language of the current ordinance and replacing it with a tough and effective breed-neutral ordinance. The Board will present the new ordinance at the Jan 25h aldermen meeting.
We do encourage Wentzville residents to remain in contact with their city officials and show support for their efforts in moving forward with a breed-neutral ordinance while we wait for the new proposal to be presented in January.
Thanks to Teal for the very encouraging update!
