BSL on council agendas this week (4/9/12)

Breed specific legislation is on the city council agendas in the following cities this week:

Waterbury, Connecticut
A Waterbury alderman plans to bring up breed specific legislation at the next Board of Aldermen meeting on Monday, April 9, 2012. The meeting begins at 6:00 p.m. and takes place at the Aldermanic Chambers, City Hall at 235 Grand Street. Malden, Massachusetts
At their last meeting, the Malden city council voted 7-4 in favor of a proposal that would require pit bulls be leashed and muzzled when not confided on their owner’s property. The proposal would also require pit bulls be registered with the city and proof the dog is spayed or neutered.

An ordainment for the proposal is slated for the council meeting on Tuesday, April 10, 2012. From there, the proposal would go the mayor for approval. The meeting begins at 7:00 p.m. and takes place in the Herbert L. Jackson Council Chamber at the Malden Government Center.
