Bless the Bullys aims to find out, and we’re looking to our youngest breed advocates for the answer!
In honor of National Pit Bull Awareness Day, Bless the Bullys is sponsoring an essay contest for young bully breed advocates to explain what it takes to be a responsible pit bull owner or advocate. Anyone age 16 and younger can submit an essay AND win a very cool prize!
Essays must be at least 400 words and discuss the importance of being a responsible pit bull owner and advocate. Submissions should be e-mailed as a Word or equivalent document to firstname.lastname@example.org. All entries must include your (1) name, (2) age and (3) address and must be received by October 19, 2012.
Finally, because the prizes will be personalized to each winner, contestants should send at least two pictures of their dogs along with their essay. (Pictures can include contestant and family members posing with their dogs).
Essay submissions will be divided into three age groups, and prizes will be awarded to a contestant in each age group:
Group 1: Ages 14-16
Group 2: Ages 10-13
Group 3: Ages 9 and younger
The winning essays for each age group will be announced on October 27, 2012 (National Pit Bull Awareness Day), and will be posted on the Bless the Bullys, National Pit Bull Awareness Campaign and Pit Bulletin Legal News websites!
